LUEN tipper trailers are often used for transporting building materials, removing debris from construction sites and as rubbish trucks, and we can't live without them in our daily lives. So it is very important to learn how to use LUEN tipper trailer.

First of all we need to know about tipper trailers

Types of LUEN dump trailers

Tail dump trailer: transports a wide range of materials, but is mainly used for transporting large loads to and from construction sites.

Side tipping trailers: allow materials to be tipped from either side, providing flexibility, especially in confined spaces.

Roll off trailers: containers can be rolled off the trailer. Ideal for waste removal or transporting specific equipment.

Basic components of a tipper trailer and their functions

Carriage:the main storage space for the material loaded on the tipper trailer.

Hydraulic Lifting System:allows the carriage to tilt and dump the loaded material. Regularly checked for leaks or damage.

Rear flap:acts as a door to the bed. Depending on the design, it can be swung open or lifted.

Hitch:attaches the tipper trailer to the tractor truck. It is vital to ensure that it is correctly secured to avoid accidents.

Braking system:essential for controlling the tipper trailer, especially when fully loaded. Make sure the braking system is synchronised with the tractor truck.

Tyres and axles: support the weight of a fully loaded trailer. Check for wear, inflation and alignment regularly.

Locks and latches: ensure that the rear flap of the tipper trailer cannot be accidentally opened during transport.

Reflectors and lights: vital for visibility at night or in low light conditions.

Safety chains: serve as an alternate connection between the trailer and tractor truck.

The key to the correct use of a tipper trailer lies in the ability to load the tipper trailer and unload it safely.

When loading a tipper trailer firstly, it is important to be aware of the maximum load capacity of the dump trailer and ensure that this is not exceeded. Equally important is to distribute the load evenly. This means distributing the material evenly within the compartment to avoid any imbalance in focus or front weight.

If you are transporting large and small items, place heavier, bulkier items on the bottom and lighter items on the top. Also, be sure to cover loose materials with tarps or nets to prevent them from flying out during transport.

Choose stable, level ground when unloading the trailer to prevent the tipper trailer from tipping over. Make sure there are no overhead obstructions (such as power lines) to interfere with the raised bed.

Start the hydraulic system carefully and avoid rapid lifting or lowering as sudden movements can destabilise the load. Keep away from rubbish areas and insist that bystanders do the same. After unloading, secure the bed back to its resting position and ensure that all locks and latches are engaged in preparation for the next transport.
